Worm Castings

I just got some worm castings in the mail:

I'm using that as fertilizer.  My grass out back has always been troublesome.  Patchy, dry.  I got my lawn aerated recently, to try to slap some life into it.  When they aerate your lawn they also want to fertilize at the same time.  Since I was aerating the backyard, where the girls are, I didn't want them putting fertilizer down, even though they claimed it was organic.  But even weeks later, my grass still looks really dry and patchy.

So I just put down some worm castings, and I watered.  So we'll see if this makes my lawn a bit more perky.  Here's a picture of my patchy grass.  It's wet right now, since I just watered the castings in.  But you can see how patchy it is.  And when it's dry it looks REALLY dry.

If these worm castings do some good, I'll post some more pictures.
