Treat from a friend at work

A friend at work brings me rabbit manure, in a baggy, every once in awhile for my compost.  He recently got married and had leftover wedding-goodie bags laying around his house.  So he just wrapped up the manure in the wedding-goodie bag!!!

I Made Mozzarella Cheese!

I bought a mozzarella cheese making kit from Williams Sonoma and made some the other day.  Yum yum!

We had an incident this weekend.....

What you see below is kale....  pulled from the planter box.  My girls pulled and destroyed my kale and my new fancy freckles lettuce!!!  ARGH!!!

So I decided to cover my planter boxes with bird netting.  I had sort of just thrown netting over the boxes before, but that was not proving to be effective in protecting my plants!  So hubby built some frames, and I covered them with bird netting.
